Upgrades Coming to Duluth’s Hartley Park
Several upgrades are coming to Hartley Park before the end of 2016, according to Duluth city officials.
The City Parks and Recreation Department held an open-house Thursday, inviting the community to come see an update on their plans for improvements to the park.
Among a long list of upgrades, the city plans to improve the forest area, trails and parking lot. They also will work to keep invasive species out of the area.
“People love this place, it’s a wonderful jewel for the city of Duluth,” said project coordinator Jim Shoberg. “We are just fortunate enough to do some upgrades.”
State, city and private money will fund the projects.
