Duluth Native Ham Signs with Vikings

Former Augustana RB Impressed During Team's Rookie Camp

Against all odds, Duluth native C.J. Ham’s dream of playing of in the National Football League is still very much alive after the Denfeld High School graduate signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings Monday.

Ham was invited to the team’s rookie camp last weekend at Winter Park and apparently impressed coaches so much they decided to keep the Running Back out of Augustana around.

Ham will continue to work out with the team during the Vikings’ offseason program, but could be cut before Training Camp opens in late July.  However, Ham has his foot in the door.

“It gives me more experience,” said Ham during Rookie Camp last Friday.  “I want to make this team, but if it doesn’t happen for another camp I might go to, or for other teams looking at me.”
