Proctor Speedway Attracts Students With Free Admission

Races at Proctor Speedway were free Sunday for students.

The Speedway’s president, Dennis McCauley, says it’s a way to gain more fans to the big dirt track.

“A little something new for them. You know, they get in free of charge, maybe they like it — maybe they don’t. Ya know, maybe get a few more avid fans of the races who will show up on a regular basis,” said McCauley.

Sunday night races continue through the beginning of August.

And new this year is the return of monster trucks Jun 17 and 18.
