Natural Gas Services Restored

After a washout of a natural gas line, over 200 consumers lost services

Natural gas repairs have been completed and service was restored as of last night for over 200 customers in the town of Odanah, on the Bad River Indian Reservation.

Customers lost their natural gas services when a gas line was damage during the flood on Tuesday afternoon.

As an important reminder, if you detect a sulfur, “rotten egg” or unknown odor inside your home, it could be the odorant that is added to natural gas to help detect leaks.

If you notice the smell, leave your home immediately. Do not use any electrical devices, including a phone inside the home. Call 911 or Xcel Energy at 1-800-895-2999 once you are safely out of your home.
