Former Duluth Police Chief Gordan Ramsay Continues His Great Service in Wichita
Ramsay sits down with protesters and broke bread
The Wichita Eagle reports that protesters had planned to march the streets on Sunday, but organizers met with former Duluth Police Chief Gordon Ramsay for hours. According to protesters, they agreed that instead of marching, they would break bread instead.
Organizers and Ramsay ended their discussion with an agreement to host a cookout, which took place at a city park, Sunday night.
Officers and Black Lives Matters protesters sat down together with a goal of opening communication and building trust between officers and the communities they serve.
These small one-on-one conversations between community members and police, turned into a public forum at around 7 p.m. where hundreds gathered to ask questions of Police Chief Gordan Ramsay.
