‘The Brick’ Provides Relief to Flood Victims
A church-based group called The Brick worked alongside the Red Cross Tuesday to provide relief to flood victims.
The Brick provides food, financial assistance and resources to low-income residents of Ashland and Bayfield counties.
In 2015, the food shelf gave out an average of 34,000 pounds of food to 700 families each month.
P.J. Hyde, the Benevolence manager for The Brick, said “Its overwhelming and I can’t imagine how these people are feeling so hopefully we can just be there for those that are in need.”
The Brick is volunteer based and they are always welcome to new volunteers.
