Updates After the Storm in the Northland
Bulk of Duluth to Have Power by Sunday Evening
Downed power lines and trees are still scattered across Duluth, where the city has around 6 cleaning crews at any given time working to clear the streets.
Though major roads are cleared, some side streets are still being cleaned. The city is focusing their efforts on Woodland, Morley Heights and Harley areas.
Around 22,000 households are currently without power, down from the original 46,000, but according to Minnesota Power, the bulk of Duluth Customers will have power by Sunday Evening.
Tree parts from the storm damage are being accepted at a drop off site on rice Lake Road, which is open from 8 Am to 6 Pm until the 24th.
Minnesota Power is reminding the public to stay away from power lines, and to avoid moving downed trees where power lines are involved.
