MN Ballet Struggles After Roof Collapses During Storm

100-mile-hour winds during last week’s storm caused major damage to the Board of Trade Building in Downtown Duluth, including costumes for the Minnesota Ballet.

Thousands of dollars worth of costumes are buried under a pile of rubble after the strong winds knocked the chimney of the building through the roof.

Because the building is inaccessible, Minnesota Ballet’s artistic executive director says they are still unsure of exactly how many costumes, designed mostly by local artists, are damaged.

The Minnesota Ballet lost many of its sets and props back in the flood of 2012.
