St. Paul Police Arrest Summit Avenue Protesters
Protesters take to Summit once again for demostrations
Fox 9 – KMSP reports that St. Paul police have arrested at leas 20 protesters who refused to leave Summit Avenue in front of the Governor’s Residence. Police started making the arrests just after 11 am Tuesday, four hours after they began negotiations.
At 7 am officers asked protesters to clear the street and keep their demonstration on the sidewalk.
Over the weekend, protesters moved back onto the street after Summit Avenue had been reopened for about a week.
Just after 8:30 am, officers gave the group a 15- minutes warning to move to the sidewalk. By 11 am, St. Paul police began making arrests. KMSP said the exact number of arrests and reasons are unclear.
