218 Hockey and Play it Again Sports Raising Money for Andrew Kerr
The Duluth East hockey community, as well as others across the Northland have rallied together to help out with former East Greyhound Andrew Kerr’s medical bills.
That includes Duluth’s Play it Again Sports and the 218 Hockey clothing company, who have teamed up to sell special edition red and grey 218 Hockey hats.
They’re $25 each, and only available at the Duluth Play it Again Sports through August 31st.
Both 218 and Play it Again will donate $5 each to Kerr’s medical fund for every hat sold. That’s $10 dollars per hat in total.
Steven Holappa of Play it Again Sports says his store has had a hard time keeping the hats in stock.
“We’ve sold out a couple times of the hats we’ve had,” Holappa said. “We’ve already re–ordered, we had to do an extra 50 from the normal count and we’re already starting to sell out of those, so we have another 60 hat order coming in. The community has responded well and people keep coming in asking for them.”
