Community Celebrates Woodland Days

Hundreds Turn Out for Event

The Other Place Bar hosted the first annual Woodland Days, where people came together for drinks, food, and a good time.

It’s a day long event that started with a 5k race to honor rice Lake fire chief Matt Frantz, who died in 2014. The race was followed by games like a Cribbage tournament and a Cornhole contest at the other place bar. There was line dancing, a pig roast, and live music. Organizers say it’s a day for the community to come together and let loose.

The event was free to attend and everyone was invited.

Some of the proceeds for the games were donated to charities like the MS society.
