Suspicious Activity Call Results in Man Arrested
Duluth Police Department gets the arrest after a suspicious activity call
The Duluth Police Department reported on their Facebook page that early Sunday morning around 3 a.m. officers responded to the area of the 2400 block of West 1st Street after a 911 caller heard a female crying and witnessed flashlights inside of a vacant house.
When they arrived on the scene, after having obtained permission to enter the residence, officers located a male inside who gave a false name and fled by kicking out the screen of a window.
The man jumped from a second story window and led police on a foot chase. The 26-year-old male was apprehended and taken to jail on multiple warrants for his arrest; a felony violation of probation warrant stemming from fleeing the police in a motor vehicle, 2 counts of motor vehicle theft and an additional felony warrant stemming from 1st degree burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, and financial credit card fraud.
He earned a charge of fleeing on foot and false name to police during the incident on Sunday morning.
