El Dorado Bar To Host Veterans’ Banquet, Walk

Preps are underway for the fourth-annual Veterans Benefit and the first-ever Walk for the Fallen.

It’s hosted this Saturday at the El Dorado Bar and Grill in the Village of Oliver.

The walk starts at 10 a.m. followed by the benefit, horseshoe tournament, raffles and pig roast.

100 percent of the proceeds will benefit local homeless veterans.

“Veterans should never have a want. They should be taken care of. So this is what we can do to try to help,” said Todd Pfeffer, owner of the El Dorado Bar and Grill.

“Things like loyalty and duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage are things that a lot of veterans have –and we can tap into those by getting the community involved,” said Michael Lacsamana, with the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans.
