Authorities Respond To Water Emergency At Edgewater

A little girl is lucky to be alive after a water emergency at Edgewater Hotel and Resort.

According to the Duluth Police Department, the call to 911 came in at 6 p.m. Sunday on a report of a child found unconscious in the water park’s indoor pool.

When authorities arrived, they ended up finding the 3-year-old out of the water, conscious and alert.

The girl was taken to a Duluth hospital as a precaution, with any injuries being considered non-life threatening, according to police.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

The Edgewater manager on duty had no comment Sunday evening.
