Many Come Out for the Third Annual Bike Festival
The Third Annual Bike Festival Attracts Many
It’s the third annual Bike Duluth Festival this weekend where more than 300 bikers came to hit the trails and enjoy some friendly competition.
The event is put on by the Kraus–Anderson Community Foundation, in a partnership with the cycilists of Gitchee–Gummi Shores.
The festival features races, including downhill contests.
Organizers say it is a great way to showcase some of the impressive trail systems that Duluth has to offer.
Jeff Iisakka, the Coordinator, said “We have 66 miles of trails throughout the Duluth city, and that’s unknown to any place else in the upper mid–west so, we’re really proud of that and we wanted to create a festive event that would celebrate that.”
The event is set to raise more than $30,000.
