PolyMet Mining Concerns Result in a Call to Action

Duluth Citizens Make Their Voices Heard

Concern citizens made a public statement calling for applications submitted by PolyMet to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources be examined in evidence based hearings by a neutral judge before the applications are approved.

Concerned citizen Jay Newcomb comments, “Lets look at all the facts. Every party involved in this should be willing to put their facts forward and have a neutral judge look at it. You would think that everyone would welcome that.”

The group also adds that an official proposal to the DNR requesting a review of the mining proposal will be on its way in the coming weeks.
