New Mural Goes Up In Superior
Artistic Mural Painted On Former City Hall Building
Something bright might catch your eye on one of the buildings in Downtown Superior.
It’s a 14 x 18 feet mural freshly painted on the former city hall building.
Superior native Erik Pearson has spent the last few days painting it as well as three more murals inside for the Spirit Room Bar.
He says working up on the second story, has made for an interesting art process.
“I’m afraid of heights but I like climbing things, so it didn’t take long before the fear got over,” said artist Erik Pearson. “Looking down on one end to the street level, you think you are higher but it gets to be a good place to work.”
The hope is the mural will be seen by traffic coming into Superior from the high bridge.
