Organizations Honored With Touchstone Award

Three Groups Honored With Award

Three Twin Ports area nonprofits were recognized Monday for making the area a better place for all.

The Touchstone award recognizes community work promoting generosity, inclusiveness and civic engagement.

At a ceremony in Duluth the winners of this year’s three touchstone awards were announced, organizers say all eight nominees have a significant impact on their community.

“We know that the Community Foundation is touching lives everyday, we are working out the problems to make this region a better place for all of us,” said Community Foundation President Holly Sampson.

Churches United in Ministry, North Shore Horizon and First Witness Child Advocacy Center won the 2016 Touchstone Awards.
