Three Groups Honored With Award
Three Twin Ports area nonprofits were recognized Monday for making the area a better place for all.
The Touchstone award recognizes community work promoting generosity, inclusiveness and civic engagement.
At a ceremony in Duluth the winners of this year’s three touchstone awards were announced, organizers say all eight nominees have a significant impact on their community.
“We know that the Community Foundation is touching lives everyday, we are working out the problems to make this region a better place for all of us,” said Community Foundation President Holly Sampson.
Churches United in Ministry, North Shore Horizon and First Witness Child Advocacy Center won the 2016 Touchstone Awards.
