Community Connects with Resources at Free Event

Dozens of Resources were Available for Low Income People

Low income and homeless People connected with the resources they need at an event today in Duluth.

Community connect is a free event that happens every January and October. It’s an event that brings dozens of vital resources together under one roof. Attendees had the opportunity to get help obtaining photo IDS and birth certificates, flu shots, and winter care packages.

“The homeless population here in Duluth is very high. It’s very difficult for people to access resources all in one place, it’s just a way to bring our community together,” said Daryl Olson, Program Manager at AICHO.

The event also included Hepatitis C and HIV testing, housing application assistance, and free haircuts.
