Cornelia Back in Duluth Harbor
The ship that was detained in 2015 is now back in the harbor to unload cement and then load up grain.
After being detained for six weeks in 2015, the Cornelia is back in the Duluth harbor.
The Cornelia was anchored in the harbor last year because its former owners were found guilty of illegally dumping wastewater.
The Cornelia has new owners and a new crew. It came in an unloaded cement and is now anchored.
The ship is waiting its turn to load up grain. The Duluth Seaway Authority said it is common for ships to return once they’ve been sold and put under new management.
