Grand Rapids Man Charged in August Home Invasion
Home invasion took place on August 3, 2016
The Itasca County Attorney reports that on Monday, October 31, 2016, Edward Wade Fauth, 19, of Grand Rapids, appeared in Itasca County District Court for his connection in a home invasion that took place on August 3, 2016.
Fauth has been charged with one count of First Degree Aggravated Robbery and one count of First Degree Burglary.
These charges stem from allegations that Fauth and Zachary Walter Cary, 28, of Cloquet, Minnesota, planned and participated in a home invasion at a residence in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
At the hearing, Monday, Fauth pleaded guilty to one count of First Degree Aggravated Robbery pursuant to an agreement with the prosecutor, in which Fauth would be placed on 10 years of supervised probation with multiple conditions including serving 12 months in the Itasca County Jail.
The agreement is subject to the approval of the court.
Fauth’s sentencing hearing is set for December 19, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
