Safety Tips and Reminders for Halloween
Superior Police Officer Talks Halloween Safety
Halloween has arrived and with the spooky holiday comes many traditions.
Trick or treaters will be filling Northland streets hoping to fill their bags with candy.
Officer Bonnie Beste with the Superior Police Department stopped by FOX 21 to give some safety reminders.
“We just wanted everyone to remember when you’re out traveling, especially as it starts getting dusk and nighttime, there’s going to be a lot of kids out trick-or-treating,” said Officer Beste.
Officer Beste says parents should be out with their children no matter the age.
There are ways to stay visible while walking in the dark this evening.
Officer Beste says glow in the dark sticks, flashlights and reflective tape can help drivers see folks who are walking around.
If a theft occurs Officer Beste says be sure to report it so they can get what was stolen back to you.
The Superior Police Department will be conducting a Pumpkin Patrol tonight. Officers will be handing out candy to trick or treaters.
