Heroin Bust in the 400 North Block of 11th Ave. East in Duluth

Matthew Hollingsworth, 29 of Duluth was arrested on Nov. 2

On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 10:47 a.m., Duluth Police and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested 29-year-old Matthew Dee Hollingsworth of Duluth.

Officers obtained a search warrant at a residence in the 400 North block of 11th Avenue East.

Investigators from the task force conducted surveillance in the area and observed Hollingsworth engaged in activities consistent with controlled substance sales to multiple vehicles in the area near a park zone.

Hollingsworth was detained and the search was conducted. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located and seized .55 grams of individually packaged heroin, marijuana, and U.S. currency.

He was taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis District Court for 2nd degree sale of narcotics along with 3rd degree possession of narcotics within a park zone.

Hollingsworth was out on pretrial release from when investigators arrested him for selling heroin and crack cocaine in September 2016. He is also on probation in Wisconsin for a felony burglary charge and Minnesota for drug related charges.
