ICO To Close 3 Gas Stations In Superior

Three ICO gas stations in Superior are closing.

CEO Judy Weber told FOX 21’s Dan Hanger Wednesday that Superior’s economics will be too hard pressed to support the market saturation in the convenience store/retail petroleum industry – especially after the closings of Target and Kmart.

Weber says the ICO stores on south Tower Avenue, Winter Street and in Billings Park will be shut down by mid-November.

ICO in Canal Park and London Road in Duluth will remain open, according to Weber.

The London Road location will be getting upgrades to enhance its appear in the neighborhood.

ICO plans to expand its petroleum delivery operations, which has been the heart of the company since 1953.
