Superior Man Arrested for 6th OWI Offense

Timothy Larson was arrested by WI State Patrol for his 6th OWI

On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post arrested 58-year-old, Timothy Larson of Superior, WI, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence. This is Larson’s 6th offense.

At approximately 8:21 p.m. Thursday night, a WI State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for defective exhaust and a defective license plate lamp on Nancy Lake Road in Washburn County.

A subsequent investigation, including a standardized field sobriety test, showed that Larson was under the influence.

Larson was arrested and transported to the Shell Lake hospital for a blood test, he was then taken to the Washburn County Jail where he is being charged with operating under the influence 6th offense and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

A 6th OWI offense can result in up to 6 years in jail, fines up to $10,000, and license suspension for 2 to 3 years. An Ignition Interlock Device is mandatory for all repeat OWI offenders.
