Police: Suspect Slit Victim’s Throat Outside Bar
One man is behind bars after authorities say he slit another man’s throat in Superior.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday behind Builder’s Saloon at 619 Tower Avenue, according to the Superior Police Department.
Investigators say the altercation happened outside the bar before the stabbing behind the bar.
The suspect was hospitalized before being booked on a charge of “attempted first-degree intentional homicide” in the Douglas County Jail.
The victim was also hospitalized. That person’s condition was not known Sunday night, other than authorities confirmed the victim was alive.
Formal charges were pending Sunday night. When the charge is officially filed by the District Attorney’s Office, the name of the suspect will be released.
