Sen. Al Franken, Larson Rally To Get Out The Vote
Minnesota Senator Al Franken and Duluth Mayor Emily Larson made a stop at University of Minnesota Duluth to talk to students about the presidential election just days away.
The two stressed the importance of participating in democracy, and explained why they are supporting Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton.
But Larson says, no matter who you support, the most important thing is to make sure you vote.
“If you don’t vote you can’t complain, you know? And I’m a deep believer in people’s basic rights to protest and have free speech, and all of those things, and I can tell you that if you don’t vote you don’t have the credibility to really anchor your concern and your complaint,” said Larson.
Polling hours in most places in Minnesota will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
