Popular Restaurant Selling Presidential-Themed Burritos
"The Donald" burrito is the current top-seller
A popular Duluth restaurant has been having some fun with its menu leading up to the election.
Burrito Union in Duluth is selling burritos named after the presidential candidates.
For the past month the restaurant has been tallying the results of burritos sold.
As of tonight, “The Donald” burrito leads with 40% of sales. “The Hillary” burrito is in second with 35% and the “Third Party” burrito sits at 25%
Burrito Union says it isn’t trying to make political statement, rather a way to help people laugh and get through this election.
“Like ‘The Donald’ we have jerk sauce because most people think he is a jerk,” said Rio Daugherty, a mixologist at Burrito Union. “And then Hillary is a little controversial and she has some stuff going on in the Middle East, so we threw the Middle East sauce on it, a ding sauce. We just have to keep it fun, make people smile when they open the menu.”
Burrito Union will host a political trivia event tomorrow starting at 6 p.m.
You can also receive free chips and salsa if you wear your “I Voted” sticker.
