Duluth Kids Learn the Importance of Voting

UMD Students Teach Kids How to Vote

Today, Duluth students had the opportunity to take part in the voting process.

The polls for kids opened at 2:30pm.

Volunteers from UMD helped with the event and said that it is important that kids learn the importance of voting at a young age.

Callie Jo Morton, a Junior at UMD, said “A lot of people even our age aren’t educated on voting so to start young and let them know they can make a difference in their own country.”

On the kids’ ballot there were pictures of all of the candidates so that kids could see who they were choosing.
