Brooklyn Center Man Sentenced for Drugs and Prostitution in Twin Ports
Jason Stone has been sentenced to 90 months in prison
On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, a Brooklyn Center man was sentenced in Saint Louis County District Court after pleading guilty to Receiving Profits from Prostitution and 2nd Degree Sale of Methamphetamine.
Jason Michael Stone, 44, was sentenced to 90 months in prison, after he was arrested in March of 2015 during an undercover operation conducted by members of the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, Duluth Police and Hermantown Police Departments.
Investigators were targeting individuals who were using the website, backpage.com to advertise prostitution services.
Stone has several previous criminal convictions including Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle, 4th Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, and Failure to Register.
He is currently in custody of the Minnesota Department of Corrections in St. Cloud and the case was prosecuted by Assistant Saint Louis County Attorneys.
