New Tool Helps Lions Club Screen for Vision Problems

The Lions Club provides free vision screening to youth and adults in the Northland

The Duluth Lions Club provides free vision screening to children and adults. Their new screener can check if someone is near or far sighted and see whether or not they should see an eye doctor.

The club has a goal of screening every child in the Northland.

“We want every kid to be able to see as well as their peers. We want all these kids to be able to learn and grow and develop as well as any other kid who can see perfectly,” said Lions Club volunteer Bill Pank.

The Lions Club takes the screener to special events like their annual Pancake Day, Boo at the Zoo, and the Salvation Army Kettle Kickoff.

They are looking to add even more events to their calendar.
