Oklahoma City Airport Closed After Shooting

All operations are suspended at this time

UPDATE: Police have reported that the suspect has been found dead in a truck.

Police say the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City has been closed following a shooting there.

The Oklahoma City police twitter account says the airport is closed following the Tuesday afternoon shooting and anyone inside should shelter in place.

Airport spokeswoman Karen Carney says all operations are suspended.

Carney says 7,000 to 8,000 travelers go through the airport daily.

Oklahoma City Police Captain Paco Balderrama says police are searching for a possible second victim. He says police have confirmed one victim, but police have received reports of a possible second victim. The condition of the confirmed individual is not known at this time.

Police have asked people to avoid the airport at this time.

An inside source for Southwest Airlines has confirmed that the first victim has died.
