Lake Country Power Working to Restore Outages
Crews are working in deep snow and near white-out conditions
The number of Lake Country Power members without electric service has grown through the afternoon. Nearly 900 members were without power late Friday morning, and it has grown to more than 6,000 late into the afternoon.
Wind speeds are at a steady 20 miles per hour, with winds gusting up to 40 mph, causing trees to blow onto power lines.
All available crews are reported to be working to restore 180 different power outages. The outage restoration is slow going with crews working in deep snow and white-out conditions.
Outages are expect to last into the late evening hours and into Saturday morning, in some areas.
