Minnesota’s LGBTA Chorus Visits Duluth

One Voice, the biggest LGBTA chorus in the United States made a stop in the Twin Ports for a free concert at the Duluth Congregational Church.

One Voice is a chorus made up of members of the LGBTQ community, and allies. In this chorus vocal parts aren’t tied to gender, so there are some men who sing soprano, and women who sing bass. Duluth was one of the many stops for the chorus’s tour in Minnesota.

“When you get out in to other communities, particularly smaller communities in Minnesota, there isn’t much representation there, and so I think it’s really important for us to be out and visible in the community,” said Christopher Taykalo, the Executive Director of One Voice Mixed Chorus.

Concert Attendees could donate money at the concert, with all the proceeds going to benefit Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
