Pawn America Donates Christmas Gifts to Troops

Volunteers Stuff Boxes Full of Video Games and Movies for Troops

DULUTH, Minn. – Pawn America is donating over 500 movies and video games to some of the men and women serving far away who cannot make it home for the holidays.

Today, family members and local troops volunteered their time stuffing boxes full of Christmas goodies that will be going to the 312th Army Reserve Engineer Company.

This unit is made up of 100 people and they are all men and women from the upper Midwest based out of Duluth.

Austin Dewanz, the General Manager at Pawn America, said “They are overseas so we can enjoy our Christmas with family and they are protecting and serving our country.”

Banchee Barnett is an Army Sergeant and he was there to stuff boxes for a personal reason, his brother.

Banchee’s brother has served three tours overseas and he knows how important it is to remind troops of home this time of year.

Banchee said, “Anything is helpful and there is downtime having something to pass the time that reminds you of home is a big help.”

Everything packaged today will arrive overseas in time for the holidays.
