Winter Brings Extra Parking Tickets
The City of Duluth tends to see a spike in parking tickets during the winter season
The City of Duluth tends to see a spike in parking tickets during the winter months, as snowplows work to clear emergency routes and side streets.
The city says snowplows are unable to effectively clear city streets if cars stay parked for longer than the 24-hour ordinance states.
The 24-hour ordinance are put in place for specific reasons, “Really to provide a service to the city’s residents and visitors, and the goal is to make sure people are safe in this city and to make sure they have access to the places they need to go,” Parking Operations Specialist, Mark Bauer, states.
