Deputy shooting found to be justified

Eveleth officer-involved shooting justified

A St. Louis County sheriff’s deputy was found justified in using deadly force to shoot a fleeing felon.

Deputy Tim Officer  shot 27-year-old Aaron Boshey of Tower after a 17-minute car chase through Eveleth Nov. 22.

Boshey was originally pulled over on a felony warrant.

Boshey eventually drove off the road and ran into the woods where Officer shot him. The deputy saw Boshey holding a firearm.

Boshey is facing various counts including being a felon with a firearm, possessing methamphetamine’s, wearing a bullet proof vest, and fleeing a police officer in a vehicle.
