Children Dress Up to Celebrate I Love to Read Month

It's an Event to Encourage Kids to Read More Books

DULUTH, Minn.- Hundreds of Children brought story book characters to life at the Edison Charter Schools North Stare Academy.

Little Arthurs, Harry Potters, and Curious Georges walked through the halls of the school today. It’s part of the school’s effort to encourage kids to read more books.  While the school hosts many events to spark kids’ interest in reading, dress up day is among the students’ favorite.

“The foundation of success later in life is being able to read so, we think it’s really important to not only get them to be able to read, but to love it,” said Denise Carlino, the Lead Reading Interventionist at the school.

February is I love to Read month and is celebrated at many schools
