Local Leaders Discuss Jobs in the Arrowhead

DULUTH, Minn.- Local leaders and legislators held a panel discussion today discussing new job prospects in the Arrowhead.

The event was hosted by Duluth for Clean Water, and was the organization’s second forum. The leaders talked about jobs, and how to create jobs while still protecting clean water and the environment.

“When you have a resource based economy you need to be forward thinking and forward looking and always look for developing new jobs and new opportunities, and we want to have a conversation on how we can do that in a sustainable way,” said Joel Sipress, the Duluth City Council President.

Duluth for Clean water is a local non profit organization that works to protect Duluth and the surrounding area’s watershed.
