Duluth Coffee Company Expanding
Owners Adding Second Storefront to Serve as Roastery
DULUTH, Minn. – There’s exciting news for the Duluth Coffee Company.
The company is adding a new 1,000 square foot roastery and event space two doors down from the current shop on East Superior Street.
Duluth coffee currently roasts its beans right there in the store. Those beans are then served in the shop or are shipped to stores as far away as Nashville, Tenn.
The new space helps the company expand to meet demand, while maintaining its roots.
“The vision with this space here is to continue to roast coffee downtown,” said Eric Faust, Owner of Duluth Coffee. “We like that it’s always been roasted in the coffee shop. Now we’re going to be two doors down, so we’ll still be roasting coffee on Superior Street.”
There’s also a training and tasting area planned for upstairs, which is set to open in the Spring. The new roastery opens later this summer.
