Cloquet Woman Charged with Aggravated 1st Degree Sale of Controlled Substance

She was on probation in St. Louis, Hennepin, and Olmsted Counties

DULUTH, Minn. – On Tuesday, March 7, investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant on a motor vehicle and four occupants of the motor vehicle followed a traffic stop in the city of Duluth.

This stop was the result of an investigation into the sale of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine, by a person in the vehicle.

While searching, the investigators discovered approximately 179 grams of meth, 26 grams of marijuana, a loaded handgun, ammunition, digital scales, and U.S. currency.

Authorities arrested 24-year-old Morningstar Webster of Cloquet, on a probable cause charge of 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. Webster was also arrested on an outstanding felony, gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor arrest warrants from St. Louis County.

On Thursday, Webster was formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office with Aggravated 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance and 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance.

At the time of Webster’s arrest, she was on probation in St. Louis County for Theft of a Motor Vehicle, in Hennepin County for two counts of Felony Theft, and in Olmsted County for 5th Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct.

Her bail is set at $75,000.
