Duluth Police Introduce Internet Purchase Exchange Locations

DULUTH, Minn. – The Duluth Police Department has announced it will be installing Internet Purchase Exchange Location signs.

These locations are designed to promote a safe location for those purchasing items from others online. Whether it’s Craigslist or a Facebook group, these locations will make it easy for the buyer and seller to meet up without the fear of being ripped off.

Meetup spots are equipped with surveillance cameras for the safety of both parties involved. Signs will be placedĀ at both Duluth Police Department locations on Arlington and Grand Avenues.

Signs have been donated by OfferUp, a community marketplace with a mission to become the simplest, most trustworthy place for people to buy and sell locally.
