Bachand Group Responds To Apt. Building’s Delinquency

Full Utilities Payment Was Made Monday Morning To SWL&P

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Bachand Group released a statement Monday after FOX 21’s report on Sunday about tenants up in arms over potential disconnection of water, heat and electric at Lund Hill Apartments on Tower Avenue.  A Superior Water Light & Power spokesperson said the utilities for the building were at least 90 days past due with no contact or arrangements with the building’s owner.   The goal of the disconnection notice, according to the spokesperson, was to get the building’s owner to take notice and correct the issue, which, as of Monday, had been made.

The statement from Bachand Group:

Bachand Group has no ownership in the Clifford Lund Apartments in Superior.   Bachand Group serves as the management company for the building but is not responsible for paying outstanding invoices for the ownership group.  This is the typical arrangement between Bachand Group and its hundreds of owners throughout the Midwest.

Per the ownership group, all outstanding invoices have been paid in full as of 8:30 Monday morning. Bachand Group was informed that this error was caused by the utility invoicing passing through the incorrect department within the ownership group; this confusion was a transitional error due to the upcoming sale of the building. The ownership group apologizes for creating concern and regrets to have put undue stress on its residents. — Adam W. Bachand, Bachand Group
