Hermantown Truck Driver Wins $1 Million Powerball
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – A Hermantown truck driver is the winner of $1 million Powerball prize.
Greg Anderson was on his way out of town on March 18 for an almost week-long work trip when he stopped at the Holiday Stationstore on Grand Avenue in Duluth.
It wasn’t until a week later that Anderson discovered the $1 million ticket, still in his wallet.
“It was hard not to smile,” Anderson said. His first thought went straight to retirement. “I’m a saver by nature,” he said. So it’s no surprise he plans to save the majority for retirement. “Being able to retire comfortably is going to be a good feeling” he said. Adding, “I may go a little early now!”
Anderson matched the first five winning numbers drawn on Mar. 18.
The Holiday store at 5430 Grand Avenue will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket!
