Hayward School Referendum Fails

Would Have Brought New Staff to Disctrict

HAYWARD, Wis.-The Hayward Schools Referendum failed last night, by a narrow margin.

Just 59 votes stopped the district from getting a huge influx of money from local property tax payers.

The referendum would have called for a boost of nearly $2 million a year, over a five-year period. The funding would have been used on getting new teachers and educational staff.
