Fans Celebrate As UMD Advances to NCAA Championship Game
The Bulldogs edged past Harvard late in the 3rd period on a goal from Alex Iafallo
DULUTH, Minn. – Fans across Duluth are celebrating as UMD has advanced to the NCAA Championship Game. The Bulldogs edged past Harvard 2-1, as Alex Iafallo scored the go-ahead goal with just 26 seconds left in the 3rd period.
The Sports Garden in Canal Park was packed with fans, glued to the big screens. Over at UMD, students gathered in the Kirby Student Center for a game watch to cheer on the ‘Dogs.
UMD will face the winner of Denver & Notre Dame on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Chicago at the United Center.
