Future Of Longtime Restaurant Up In Air

DULUTH, Minn. – One of downtown Duluth’s oldest restaurants is up for sale.

We’re talking about the Original Coney Island on 107 E. Superior Street.

The classic restaurant has been serving up conies, burgers and malts at its current location since 1921.

Owner Steve Sola, who bought the business in 2008, told FOX 21’s Dan Hanger Monday that no sale has been finalized, and it’s not known whether the new owners – whoever that may be – will keep the Coney Island legacy going for years to come.
