Art and Science come together at the Duluth Art Institute
An artist and a scientist talk about oceanic pollution
DULUTH, Minn. – Art and science came together at the Duluth Art Institute on Thursday. Artist Kimberlee Roth teamed up with scientist Tom Hollenhorts to discuss ocean pollution, and how art can raise awareness for the problem.
“As scientists, sometimes we have a hard time conveying information in an understandable way,” Hollenhorts said. “And working with artists is really an opportunity to bring that information, that can be quite complex, in a form that’s usually quite understandable.”
The presentation was part of a series being put on by the Duluth Art Institute.
