DMV Offering Temporary Services Near Chetek

CAMERON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles will open a temporary DMV service center for those in Barron County affected by last week’s storms.

“Having proof of identity, like a driver’s license or ID car is often the first step to rebuiliding lives after such a tragedy,” said Administrator Kristina Boardman. “With the generous assistance of Mosaic Telecom, DMV is pleased to quickly step in and help our customers during this time of need.”

The temporary DMV Service Center will be located at Mosaic Telecom Offices at 401 S 1st St, Cameron, WI 54822:

  • Friday 5/26: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday 5/27: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Friday 6/2: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

While replacing a driver’s license, ID, and vehicle title can be completed online with a receipt available for immediate printing, this temporary DMV Service Center will provide services free of charge for persons impacted by the storms.

Change of address, checking license or plate status and more can be done online.
