Chesney Auto Salvage Honored in Carhartt Video
Video Expected to be Released on Father's Day
DULUTH, Minn.-A Duluth auto salvage business started in 1965 is getting some national attention from one of the biggest clothing manufacturers in the world.
Carhartt is honoring Chesney Auto Salvage with a documentary on the history of the business and the special relationship the owner and his grandson have while working at the shop.
Carhartt searched the entire country in an effort to find American businesses that highlight fathers who run great businesses like Jerry Chesney.
“We really liked what Jerry was doing as a father for his family and his business, but also for the greater community in Duluth,” said Mark Sarosi, of Carhartt creative.
The relationship between Jerry and his grandson has spanned decades. Through those years, a special bond has developed.
“Him and I have been connected at the hip for a long time,” said Codie Chesney. “We do a lot of stuff together.”
The family was also rewarded with a new hand–painted sign as a reward for their excellent work.
It’s expected the video on the business will be released around Father’s Day.
